Day 20

Day 19

A brief vacation was taken from the videos as we went on our separate ways for family time, but we're back in business now. Phew! I know, you were all worried. You thought maybe the Cicero gangsters had found us, or that we got trapped in some of Capone's hidden tunnels.... you can stop holding your breath, the next video is here!

Day 6

What should we do today? Oh, I know... how about the museum? We'll check on Sue the T-Rex.

Day 5

A trip to the bookstore.

Day 4

A new calendar is put up, and some cooking experiments. Questionable spinach muffins? Hannah Hunt likes them at least. They go well with eggs. Lyndie will opt against.

Day 2

A quick subway ride to Target. Monitored by local surveillance. We're fascinated.

We're here now!

Welcome to the first day diary of Dinah... (the name is a pretty combo of the ends of Lyndie and Hannah)... We hope you enjoy keeping track of us! Here goes.

For today:
Lyndie and I woke up this morning in a little, newly cleaned, apartment in Chicago.  Our cleaning spree of yesterday left us pooped, but with sparkling dishes and mopped floors...   After morning bites of french toast (with our leftover eggs from the fridge) and banana, we headed off into the city streets with the destination: Target.  The trip was mostly uneventful until the rain began on our way back to the underground subway stop toting our groceries.  We were mostly soaked but enjoyed the spontaneity of the storm. Back to the apartment for tuna melts and some dry-out time.
Lyndie continues to be sore from our trek yesterday with awkward luggage from the airport. Her calves are bruised from the suitcase hitting on her leg and she claims to be "generally weak".  Hopefully this will not last long, as the adventures must begin!  For now, we're continuing to get our bearings and enjoying the freedom of our own little kitchen.  Tonight we made breaded chicken breast over a pasta dish with tomato, celery, onion, garlic (of Dad's recommendation).  We learned two things from this: Lyndie's like for celery is less than HH's enjoyment of the veggie and two: kitchen experimentation will be a mainstay for our Chicagotime.  Now, we're off to a local coffee house for internet usage. Signing off...

A freshly clean apt... note: this video is strictly business.
